Back from the holiday and with an amazing singer, Christina Grimmie is pretty popular by now, since she’s touring with Selena gomez and stuff, but she posted this videos a couple of weeks ago were she sang with Noah, and he outsang her in my opinion, his voice fits perfectly with the song.

Again, in his rendition of “Set fire to the rain” my favourite song from Adele, you can notice that he really knows and understands his voice and what he can do with it, instead of going for the really high notes that Adele goes to, he does a much smoother version of the song that turned out to be great.

Today's Artist - David Choi

This should’ve been my first post really, this is the guy that made me a fan of all these covers and artists on youtube. David Choi has an amazing and soft voice, and his covers are a lot of fun to watch.

This is one of his first posts and it’s a couple of years old, but that’s when I started following him because, well… just listen to the song, it’s awesome, I really connected to the lyrics at the time and his voice is very raw and true in this live version of the song, it made the album a first day buy for me and I still listen to it very often.

Today's Artist - Eric Stanley

Ok, back this week, and this time with someone that is just ridiculous, this 20 year old boy from Richmond - VA is already getting recognition around the country, doing a lot of concerts.

But still… More people need to get know him and his music. He’s a violin player and his remixes are among one of the most unique and true things you can hear on youtube.

This is one of my favourite remixes he’s done so far, props to T-Funk as well for doing the rap justice.

Today's Artist - Watsky

Changing styles a bit today, this guy is the “pale kid that raps fast”, Watsky is a rapper and a poet, he has a lot of originals songs and I struggled to find something that got close to a cover (actually this is his latest video so it wasn’t THAT hard haha), his rhymes are very good. He’s called the new Eminem, I call him the first Watsky.

Now this is were things gets interesting, this is from his album “A new kind of sexy” that you can download FREE here, the whole album is pretty good so don’t forget to check it out.

My favourite part about this song (besides the lyrics of course) is that it’s a colab with Dumbfoundead one of my favourite rappers.

Today's Artist - Kaile Goh

Finally a female singer!!! Today i highlight Kaile Goh, why?? Just because there are a lot of good female singers on youtube, but for me she’s surely one of the best, specially on this cover of the song Perfect by Pink, her voice is very powerfull and it has a very unique tone to it. By the way, everybody critiques her about that but I find the fact that she touches the mic while singing kinda cute although i know it’s wrong haha.

For the original, it’s a rock song and… You have to appreciate a female rocker!

The song is called Gold, it’s a very upbeat song that has a cool chorus with some surprisingly good drums sections, and although it’s the usual teenage love story, it’s still a cool take on that same story.

Back from the weekend, and I was thinking that it was time i should post a female singer, but then i found these guys…. They’re two brothers from Puerto Rico, and as a Rock fanatic as I am, I couldn’t ignore the covers these guys do, they’re for the most part, very good, specially this Bruno Mars cover, with a special treat at 2:44 of the video haha.

On theirs most recents videos they started inviting some singers as well, their latest video is a (Rock)cover of Skyscraper from Demi Lovato (I’ll probably do a post only about this song and the 1001 covers that it got on the past week alone), the singer is pretty good and the Rock version of the song is awesome.

Today’s Artist is apparently a friend of Jake Coco, and guess what? He’s a pretty good singer as well! This version of the song Good Life from One Republic is awesome, very light and fits his voice perfectly.

Now… I’ll always try to post an original song togheter with the cover from the the artist, but since Corey doesn’t have one (he only has 3 videos on his youtube acc), I’ll post this awesome colab with Jenny Lane:

Another cover of “Someone Like You”, another complete different vision of the song and in all a great performance from these two singers.

After spending countless hours in front of my computer, watching, listening and admiring these indie artists, I’ve decided to start this blog and try to keep people up to date of how much amazing talent there is on youtube, vimeo, etc…

To start, I’m going to post a song that i’ve been hearing non-stop for quite a while now.

This is a cover from Jake Coco of the song Someone Like You from Adele. It’s a beautifull rendition of the song, his voice fits perfectly with the song and the meaning behind it.
